Liza earned her PhD in Ecology/Environmental Policy between 2018-2023, during which time she studied issues broadly related to food systems governance for sustainability. For her dissertation, Liza submitted “The Organic Seed Innovation System: Unpacking the Who, Where, and How of Niche Formation”, which analyzed the networks of seed innovation systems and how germplasm management affects breeding decisions for climate change adaptation.
