Bio

Liza is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Ecology, studying issues broadly related to food systems governance for sustainability. For her dissertation, Liza is interested in the networks of seed innovation systems and how germplasm management affects breeding decisions for climate change adaptation. Liza has previously worked at College of Charleston, South Carolina, both as an administrator and instructor with first-year students, leading courses on local food systems in Charleston and Peru.  She holds degrees in Sustainability Science and Policy (MSc), Organic Farming (MSc), and Biology and Political Science (BA).
