Stephanie is a graduate student in the International Agricultural Development Graduate Group. She investigates grower decision-making surrounding improved nitrogen management practices in California's Sacramento Valley, using a spatially explicit statistical modeling approach. She uses geographic information system software to examine diffusion-of-information trends throughout social networks. She researches grower decision making surrounding improved nitrogent management practices in California's Central Valley, using a geospatial statistical modeling approach. She lived in East Africa for four years before beginning her degree at UC Davis, working on similar behavior change communication challenges in agriculture.
Other research interests include knowledge sharing systems in environmental communities of practice, private sector engagement in international development via ESG standards and/or impact investing, and data-driven consensus building strategies for inclusive and sustainable resource management.
