Undergraduate Research Associate
Toby Jacob is a current second year student at UC Davis studying Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning with an intended minor in Geology and GIS. She is particularly interested in remote sensing, glacial change, delta adaptation, and community resilience. In her role as an undergraduate research associate, she works under Tara Pozzi helping to do qualitative analysis for research focused to behavior and decision-making processes that influence a community’s adaptive capacity and resilience to hazards, localized to the Sacramento Basin. In addition, she works in the Pinter Geology Lab under Zoe Pfahler and is starting her own glacial sediments study this fall. She also serves on the executive board of the on campus club, AFI, as the Events Coordinator.
In her spare time Toby can be found enjoying good books, good jazz, and anything pesto related.
